Barb was a great teacher she taught piano so well. All of us girls loved her . I think of her often as I drive thru Versailles and see her old house. Hugs to the whole family. She lived a full and wonderful life .

Susan & Brad, I was so sorry to hear of your moms passing. I have so many memories of you and her. She did such a wonderful job of raising the two of you and being a teacher at the same time. I remember the wonderful cantatas she played and organized for us at the church. I think the last time I saw her was 2012 at Heritage Health in Jacksonville when Dad was there. She was getting ready to play for the church service there. What a witness for her Lord!!! Always so kind and caring and remembering all of us even when she moved away from Versailles. May the many memories and love carry you through.

Susan, Brad and family:
I am so sorry to see that you mom has passed. I consider a very good friend. When she played as pianist at Asbury UMC, she was often my accompanist there and in many other places as well. We both loved the music so much and enjoyed it together. She was such an accomplished pianist. Barbara also was the caregiver for my parents for several years. I so appreciated her care, patience and love for them. And, I know they appreciated it to as it allowed them to stay in the home for as long as possible. Every time I play the piano or sing the many songs we loved, I will remember her with affection. She was a great lady!

Brad, Susan, and families,
We were so sorry to learn of your Mom’s passing. She was such a wonderful person, always so full of life. Those of us from our little corner of Versailles always had a good time playing together. You both were some of our first really good friends. All the kids in Versailles, for the most part, had a really good time growing up together. It created a bond that lasts to this day. Your mom was a great piano teacher, although I’m sure she was very frustrated by my lack of commitment to practice time. It became very apparent every week when I sat down at the piano and she asked me to play my assigned pages. It was pretty much all downhill from there!!
Your mom meant so much to many in the entire area, but especially to those of us who lived in Versailles. She did so many things well. She has been an inspiration to single-mother’s everywhere. She balanced her life very well, and brought up two really great children, who are now really great adults with their own families.
You and your families are in our prayers as you grieve the loss of your mom. You have so many amazing memories to look back on. Treasure them all and share them with your own children.
