Betty Hatch

Betty Louise Hatch, age 77, of Mt. Sterling, Illinois passed away at 11:10 p.m. Sunday, February 5, 2017 at Blessing Hospital in Quincy, Illinois.

She was born March 14, 1939 in Buckhorn Township in Brown County, Illinois the daughter of Percy J. and Cordelia Pate Walker.  She married Lyle Richard Hatch on December 26, 1957 in the Timewell Baptist Church and he preceded her in death on January 11, 2011.

Mrs. Hatch was a homemaker and had also worked in the deli for both the Beardstown and Mt. Sterling IGA for several years.

She graduated from Brown County High School with the class of 1957 and had attended the Mt. Sterling Church of the Nazarene.

Betty always enjoyed traveling and visiting with her friends around the coffee table.

Survivors include 3 children G. Richard Hatch of Austin, Texas, Greg Hatch of Valles Mines, Missouri and Sheryl Beadles of Bevier, Missouri.  1 sister Rosemary Orr of Mt. Sterling.  9 grandchildren Kaitlyn, Sam, Kyle and Alex Hatch, Hannah and Sterling Beadles and David, Adam and Elizabeth Mundinger.

She was preceded in death by her parents and 1 brother Robert Walker.

Per Betty’s request private burial will be held in the Hersman Cemetery in Hersman, Illinois.  There will be no visitation.

Memorials are suggested to the Brown County Senior Citizens Center or the Illinois Veterans Home and may be left at the Hendricker Funeral Home in Mt. Sterling.
