Charles Senkler

Charles Elmer Senkler, age 73, of Mt. Sterling, Illinois passed away at 2:40 p.m. Tuesday, July 26, 2016 at his residence.

He was born December 5, 1942 in Chicago, Illinois the son of Elmer and Rose Ann Huhn Senkler.  He married Linda Gail Simmons and she preceded him in death in the year 2000. 

Mr. Senkler was a mechanical engineer for Phillips Electronics in Knoxville, Tennessee for several years.

He graduated from Lane Technical High School in Chicago, Illinois.

Charles always enjoyed woodworking, playing golf and especially enjoyed the time he spent with his family.

Survivors include 3 children Kimberly Blair and S. Bret Senkler (Kimberly) all of Knoxville, Tennessee and Heather Robinson of Noblesville, Indiana.  1 brother Michael Alan Senkler (Martie) of Dunfermline, Illinois.  1 sister Gale Logsdon of Mt. Sterling.  4 grandchildren Elena, Madison, Emmalee and Tyler also survive along with several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Cremation will be accorded and burial of the cremated remains will be held at a later date in Knoxville, Tennessee. 

There will be no local services or visitation.

Memorials are suggested to the Unity Point at Home Hospice and may be left at the Hendricker Funeral Home in Mt. Sterling.
