I just loved Jim. I met him at Ayerco and we remained good friends. He was so sweet. He brought me a Christmas gift at Mass Transit and we had the best visit. This was about two years ago. I think about him often. So sad. He was like my grandpa. Many tears good friend.

Jennifer, Rhonda and families: So very sorry to learn of the loss of your father and grandfather. He was one of the most interesting men I have ever met. I first encountered him at the Historical Society. Over the years we would encounter each other out at the Depot when he stopped by of a morning to "kick the tires" of his magnificent Model A Ford. We would sit and talk of old time farming activities, and he usually had something to pull out of a bag and say "do you have any idea what this might be". His keen interest in mechanical things added so much to dialogue of rural Brown County lore. You are in our thoughts and prayers.

We are so very saddened to hear of Jim's passing, he was always a delight to visit with at coffee at McDonalds. He played his harmonica for me one time and told a good story about bring a whole case back on a plane when he was in the service. By the time the plane landed he had given away most of them and taught them how to play a little song, he always brought a small trinket of interest to the coffee group to see if anyone could figure out what it was. His smile, his stories and good nature will be missed by many.
