Joni Buss

Joni Lee Buss, age 63, of Mt. Sterling, Illinois passed away at 11:08 a.m. Monday, January 16, 2017 at her residence.

She was born November 8, 1953 in Vienna, Illinois the daughter of Harry and Betty Luck Lockaby.  She married Rick Buss in June of 1993 in St. Charles, Illinois and he survives.

Joni was a bus driver for West Central Mass Transit District in Mt. Sterling and had also worked at Walmart in Beardstown for several years.

She graduated from West Chicago High School.

Survivors include her husband Rick Buss of Mt. Sterling.  2 children Kendee Lockaby of Wisconsin and Jamie Buss (Michelle) of Clayton, Illinois.  2 step children Eric Buss of Jacksonville, Illinois and Michael Buss of Meredosia.  2 brothers and 1 sister also survive along with 7 grandchildren and 3 step grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

A funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, January 21, 2017 in the Hendricker Funeral Home in Mt. Sterling, Illinois with Rev. Aaron Foster officiating.

Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until the time of services on Saturday at the funeral home.

Per her request cremation will be accorded following the services.
