Robert Stohl

Robert Stohl, age 71, of Mt. Sterling, Illinois and formerly of Rockford, Illinois passed away at 12:52 p.m. on Tuesday, March 7, 2017 at the Heritage Health, Therapy and Senior Care in Mt. Sterling.

Bob was born on July 7, 1945 in Rockford, Illinois the son of Adolph and Marion Stokstad Stohl.

Mr. Stohl graduated from the Michigan Technological University with a Bachelor’s Degree in accounting. He then worked for several years as a tax preparer in the Rockford area.

Bob was known as a true nature lover who always enjoyed spending time outdoors.

He was the last member of his immediate family.

Per his request, cremation has been accorded and a memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at the First United Methodist Church in Mt. Sterling with Rev. Cecilia Granadosin officiating. Private burial of the cremated remains will be in the Scandinavian Cemetery in Rockford, Illinois at a later date.

Memorials are suggested to the charity of the donor’s choice and may be left at the Hendricker Funeral Home in Mt. Sterling.
