Sharon Louise Passmore, age 68, of Mt. Sterling, Illinois passed away at 1:56 p.m. Thursday, April 7, 2016 at Blessing Hospital in Quincy, Illinois.

She was born June 27, 1947 in Keokuk, Iowa the daughter of C. B. and Eula Jean Reidner Kellett.  She married Leroy D. Passmore on December 1, 1962 in Kahoka, Missouri and he survives.

Mrs. Passmore was a homemaker and had delivered the Quincy Herald Whig in the Mt. Sterling area for several years.  She attended Carthage, Illinois schools and also attended the Latter Day Saints Church of Carthage. 

She always enjoyed crocheting and cross stitching, but her greatest joy was spending time with her family.

Survivors include her husband Leroy Passmore of Mt. Sterling.  6 children Kevin (Elly) Passmore of Camp Point, Illinois, Steve Passmore (companion, Bonnie Wellman) of Pittsfield, Illinois, Bob (Angie) Passmore of Springfield, Illinois, Rick (Marie) Passmore of Colchester, Illinois, Mike Passmore and Chris Passmore (fiancée, Kenneth Waugh) all of Mt. Sterling.  2 sisters Connie Clark of Galva, Illinois and Linda Hartshorn of Galesburg, Illinois.  13 grandchildren, including Holly Passmore who was raised in her home.  5 step grandchildren and 1 great grandchild also survive along with several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 10, 2016 in the Hendricker Funeral Home in Mt. Sterling with Rev. Aaron Foster officiating.

Burial will be in the Hersman Cemetery in Hersman, Illinois.

Visitation will be from 12:00 noon until the time of services on Sunday at the funeral home.

Memorials are suggested to Brown County Against Cancer.
