Susan M. “Suzy” Grover, age 36, of Mt. Sterling, passed away at 12:18 p.m. on Saturday, August 19, 2017 at the home of a friend in Mt. Sterling.

She was born November 25, 1980 in Cherry Point, North Carolina the daughter of Russell and Marsha Diane Smith.  She married Neil Grover on September 30, 2006 and he survives.

Suzy worked in childcare for several years and more recently was employed as a home healthcare worker. 

She attended Meredosia schools and also attended The Crossing Church in Mt. Sterling.  Suzy was member of Ducks Unlimited and always loved hunting, but her greatest joy was spending time with her children.

Survivors include her husband Neil Grover of Mt. Sterling.  2 children Kailey and Trevor Grover both at home.  Her mother Diane Smith of Meredosia.  2 brothers Michael and Bobby Smith both of Meredosia.  2 sisters Betty McDannald (Corey) of Concord and Paula Clopfer (Richie) of Meredosia also survive along with her maternal grandmother Betty Smith and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, August 24, 2017 in the Hendricker Funeral Home in Mt. Sterling with Pastor Ethan Sefton officiating. 

Burial will be in the Oakland Cemetery in Meredosia.

Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday evening at the funeral home.  Friends may also call from 8:00 a.m. until the time of services on Thursday at the funeral home.

Memorials are suggested to her children’s education fund.
