Wayne Swan

Wayne LeRoy Swan, age 65, of Mt. Sterling, Illinois passed away at 1:18 a.m. Sunday, December 4, 2016 at his residence.

He was born October 26, 1951 in Rock Island, Illinois the son of Jacob Albert and Leatha Gray Swan.  He married Suzanne Schultz on August 18, 1988 and she survives.

Mr. Swan served as a security therapy aide 1 for the Illinois Department of Human Services Treatment and Detention Facility in Rushville, Illinois.

Wayne also served his country in the United States Army.

Survivors include his wife, Suzanne Swan of Mt. Sterling.  1 son Henry Swan of Conway, Arkansas.  2 sisters Helen McCarthy (Gerald) of Moline and Ida Yano (Clyde) of Hawaii also survive along with 2 brothers John Swan (Debbie) of Beardstown and Tom Swan (Lori) of Rushville.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 4 brothers Donnie, Ronnie, Albert and Jacob Swan and 3 sisters Pearl Swan, Sally Nash and 1 sister in infancy.

Cremation will be accorded and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
