Clara Icenogle

Clara May Icenogle, age 74, of Timewell, Illinois passed away at 7:58 a.m. Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at her residence.

She was born December 20, 1943 in Paris, Illinois the daughter of Dale Earl and Betty Marie Bailey McCoy.  She married Forrest L. “Pete” Icenogle on July 5, 1986 in Timewell, Illinois and he preceded her in death on June 30, 2012.

Mrs. Icenogle worked as a Certified Nurses Aide at the Illinois Veterans Home in Quincy, Illinois for several years.

She was a member of the Timewell Christian Church and was also a member of the Timewell American Legion Post # 1059 Auxiliary.  Clara always enjoyed sewing, making crafts and oil painting.

Survivors include 4 children Tammy Curtis of Brooklyn, Illinois, Lyle Edward Welty, Jr. of Versailles, Illinois, Kathy C. Welty and Helen L. Barber both of Timewell, Illinois.  8 grandchildren, several great grandchildren, 4 brothers and several nieces and nephews also survive.

She was preceded in death by her parents and 1 sister Eunice Ruiz.

Per her request, cremation will be accorded and a graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 2, 2018 in the Mounds Cemetery near Timewell, Illinois.

There will be no visitation.
