Daniel Tucker

Daniel Eugene Tucker, age 63, of Mt. Sterling, Illinois passed away at 10:30 p.m. Sunday, June 24, 2018 at his residence.

He was born May 9, 1955 in Woodriver, Illinois the son of Melva Joyce Strohbeck Tucker. 

Dan had worked for National Starch/Celanese in Meredosia for over 40 years. 

He graduated from Brown County High School.  Dan enjoyed gardening, grilling out and riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle, but his greatest joy was spending time with his family and his beloved dog “Busch”.

Survivors include 3 children Danielle Moorman (Chad) of Mt. Sterling, Illinois, Lindsey Cloutier (Ian) of El Paso, Texas and Chase Tucker (fiancée, Ashlee Smith) of Mt. Sterling, Illinois. His father Jerry Tucker of Eldorado, Arkansas.   1 sister Linda Hansen (Ed) of Panama City, Florida.  5 grandchildren Cash and Cyrus Cloutier, Bentley Tucker, Wayson Moorman and Madison Stroud also survive along with 1 nephew Jeremy Hansen (Lauren).

He was preceded in death by his mother, 1 daughter and 1 son both in infancy.

Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 28, 2018 in the Hendricker Funeral Home in Mt. Sterling.

Private burial will follow in the Mt. Sterling City Cemetery.

Memorials are suggested to Brown County Against Cancer.
