Kathryn Lerch

Kathryn Virginia Lerch, age 83, of Pittsfield, Illinois passed away at 3:45 a.m. Monday, November 5, 2018 at Heritage Health, Therapy and Senior Care in Mt. Sterling.

She was born February 18, 1935 in Pleasant Hill, Illinois the daughter of Ruth Pauline Harris.  She married James A. Lerch on May 23, 1953 in Hannibal, Missouri and he preceded her in death on October 20, 1977. 

Mrs. Lerch served as a nanny for several area families.   She attended the First Baptist Church in Pleasant Hill and always enjoyed crocheting and ceramics.

Survivors include 3 children Rusty Lerch of Ravenden Springs, Arkansas, Mary Zimmerman of Mt. Sterling, Illinois and Tonya Elizabeth Young of Jackson, Missouri.  11 grandchildren and several great grandchildren also survive along with a half-brother Jerry White of Mt. Sterling.

She was preceded in death by her mother, 1 grandchild, 3 sisters and 2 brothers.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 7, 2018 in the Hebron Cemetery, south of Mt. Sterling, with Pastor Matt Haberman officiating.

There will be no visitation.

Memorials are suggested to the charity of the donor’s choice and may be left at the Hendricker Funeral Home in Mt. Sterling.
