Kevin Behymer

Kevin Jay Behymer, age 56, of Versailles, Illinois passed away at 8:27 p.m. Monday, November 20, 2017 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri.

He was born January 21, 1961 in Hawthorn, California the son of Richard G. and Shirley Ann Smith Behymer.

Mr. Behymer was a self-employed mechanic.  He attended Brown County and Southeastern schools.  Kevin was a member of Heartland Garden Tractor Pulling Association and always enjoyed participating in garden tractor pulls.   He also had a love of International Harvester tractors.

Survivors include 3 daughters Katie Dunbar (Cory) of Cooperstown, Illinois, Alison Llewellyn (Adam) of Versailles, Illinois and Jeni Behymer (Conner Schaefer) of Quincy, Illinois.  3 grandchildren Emma and Gabe Dunbar and Elliott Llewellyn.  1 brother Jeff Behymer of Decatur, Illinois also survives along with his close friend and companion, Brenda Still of Versailles.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Per his request, cremation has been accorded and a memorial visitation will be held from 12:00 noon until 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 3, 2017 at the Hendricker Funeral Home in Mt. Sterling.

Private interment of the cremated remains will be at a later date in the Marden Chapel Cemetery in Brown County.

Memorials are suggested to St. Louis Children’s Hospital.
