Larry Fry

Larry Gene Fry, age 79, of Hersman, Illinois passed away at 1:10 a.m. on Monday, April 16, 2018 at the Heritage Health, Therapy and Senior Care in Mt. Sterling.

He was born July 25, 1938 in Quincy, Illinois the son of John William “Bill” and Frances Mildred Perry Fry.  He married Sharon Lynne Mandrell on April 30, 1960 in Springfield, Illinois and she preceded him in death on March 31, 2015. 

Mr. Fry owned and operated Larry Fry Automotive in Hersman for over 20 years.  He attended Brown County schools and had also attended Gem City Business College in Quincy.

Larry was a member of the Church of Christ in Meredosia.

Survivors include 1 son Gary Fry (Susie) of Versailles, Illinois.  1 sister Harriett Bartell of Springfield, Illinois.  3 granddaughters Morgan, Kayla and Kendra.  4 step grandchildren Kenzie, Suvannah, Wendee and Keaton also survive along with several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 sons Perry Lee Fry in infancy and Lane Fry and 2 brothers David and John Fry.

Per his request, cremation will be accorded and a graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 18, 2018 in the Hersman Cemetery with  Pastor Keith Anderson officiating.

There will be no visitation.

Memorials are suggested to the Hersman Cemetery and may be left at the Hendricker Funeral Home in Mt. Sterling.
