Theresa Sullivan Buskirk

Theresa Ann Sullivan Buskirk, age 57, of Mt. Sterling, Illinois passed away at 4:47 a.m. Wednesday, September 12, 2018 at Evelyn’s House Hospice in Creve Coeur, Missouri. 

She was born September 29, 1960 in Quincy, Illinois the daughter of Donald L. and Leota L. Likes Sullivan. 

Theresa worked as the dietary manager at Barry Community Care Center in Barry, Illinois for several years.

She attended St. Mary’s School in Mt. Sterling and graduated from Brown County High School. 

Theresa was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church and also attended The Crossing Church both in Mt. Sterling.

She always loved cooking, baking, quilting, watching Jeopardy, playing bingo and was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan. 

Survivors include her mother Leota Sullivan of Mt. Sterling.  2 daughters Sara Collins (Rick) of Clayton, Illinois and Candi Erwin of Troy, Missouri.  5 grandchildren Tyler, Miranda and Riley Collins all of Clayton, Illinois and Bailey and Andrew Erwin both of Mt. Sterling, Illinois.  1 brother James Sullivan of Mt. Sterling also survives along with a niece Amanda Klingele of Quincy, Illinois.

She was preceded in death by her father.

Cremation will be accorded and a memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 20, 2018 at the Hendricker Funeral Home in Mt. Sterling with Rev. Ethan Sefton officiating.

Visitation will be one hour prior to services on Thursday at the funeral home.
