Arie Byler Obituary

Arie Elizabeth (Peachey) Byler, age 91 years, 9 days, of Timewell, Illinois passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, October 31, 2022 at 7:40 a.m. following 3 weeks of declining health. 

She was born on October 22, 1931 to Jonathan C. and Katie (Peachey) Peachey at Belleville, Pennsylvania.  

On November 22, 1951 she married Jacob S. Byler, son of John Z. and Amelia (Yoder) Byler.  They lived in matrimony nearly 71 years. 

To their marriage were born 7 children: 

Louis married to Darlene Erb of Milverton, Ontario

Kathryn married to Lloyd Albrecht of Brunner, Ontario

Lillian married to Jesse Hostetler of Laclede, Missouri

Wilmer married to Sue Miller of Mt. Sterling, Illinois

Eunice married to Junior Yoder of Slaughters, Kentucky

Ruth married to Perry Miller of Mt. Sterling, Illinois

Allen married to LeAnna Farmwald of Long Prairie, Minnesota

Also surviving are 42 grandchildren, 4 step grandchildren and 109 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, 1 brother, 7 sisters, 3 grandsons, 1 step grandson and 1 great grandson.

She was a member of the Siloam Springs Amish Mennonite Church. 

The visitation will be held at the Siloam Springs Amish Mennonite School on Wednesday, November 2, 2022 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Funeral will be held Thursday, November 3, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at the Siloam Springs Amish Mennonite Church with burial following in the Siloam Springs Amish Mennonite Church Cemetery. 

The family greatly appreciated the care given to her for the last 3 weeks by Blessing Hospice and suggests that donations be made to the Blessing Foundation for Hospice in her memory. 

The Hendricker Funeral Home in Mt. Sterling is assisting the family with the arrangements.
