Darlene Reische

M. Darlene Reische, age 84, of Versailles, Illinois passed away at 12:45 a.m. Thursday, May 4, 2023 at Heritage Health Therapy & Senior Care in Mt. Sterling. 

She was born January 28, 1939 in Adams County, Illinois the daughter of James W. and Helen Margaret Jane Clark Grist.  She married Wendel Lee Reische on January 10, 1959 and he preceded her in death on June 22, 2022.

Darlene was a homemaker and always enjoyed birdwatching, gardening and caring for her pets and livestock.   She attended Timewell area schools.

Survivors include 2 children Richard Reische (Penny) and Kathy Golliher (Steve) all of Mt. Sterling.  1 granddaughter Lauran Golliher of Mt. Sterling.  1 brother Donald Eugene Grist of La Prairie, Illinois.  1 sister Linda Mathewson of Timewell, Illinois also survives along with several nieces and nephews. 

She was preceded in death by her parents and 1 brother Gerald Grist. 

Private burial will be in the Mounds Cemetery in Timewell. 

Memorials are suggested to the charity of the donor's choice and may be left at or mailed to the Hendricker Funeral Home, 406 South Capitol Avenue, Mt. Sterling, Illinois 62353.
