Debyrah Carden

Debyrah “Debby” Carden (Short) was born on April 9, 1955, to John and Kathleen Short of Rogersville, MO. The Lord called her home on October 11, 2023, in Mt. Sterling, IL.
Debyrah graduated from Rogersville High School and continued her education at Drury University in Springfield, MO where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree and was a Delta Delta Delta sorority sister.
In her younger years, she loved to sew, bake & decorate cakes for the people she loved, and go camping with her family. As the years came and went, she developed a passion for researching her family and extended family’s genealogy.
She is survived by her 2 children: Kelsey (Lauren) Carden of St. Louis, MO, and Lynsey (Jed) Parn of Mt. Sterling, IL; Grandchildren: Charlie Carden, Georgie Parn, and RJ Parn; Siblings: DeLayne Short, John (Linda) Short, and Sam Short.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on October 28th, 2023, at 1 pm in the Elm Grove Church, 111 Elm Grove Rd., Rogersville, MO 65742.
In lieu of flowers, we ask donations to be made to Cancer Research Institute.
