Ellen Yoder

Ellen Marie Yoder, age 89, of rural Clayton, Illinois, passed away on Friday, May 27, 2022 at her residence.

She was born in Norfolk, Virginia on October 18, 1932 to Norman and Elmina Yoder.  

On October 14, 1954 she married Elmer A. Yoder.  They shared the joys and sorrows of life 55 years, 6 months and 16 days.  He preceded her on April 30, 2010.  

She was a member of Siloam Springs Amish Mennonite Church of Clayton, Illinois. 

She is survived by her 7 children Laura Fern, married to Junior Stutzman, Sevin Miles, Belize, Ivan, married to Esther Brenneman, Clayton, Illinois, Dora Sue married to Joe Schrock, Clayton, Illinois, Steven married to Linda Yoder, Avon, Illinois, Mervin, married to Rosemary Brenneman, Olney, Illinois, Lillian, married to Titus Beachy, Columbia, Kentucky, Verda, married to Joseph Beachy, Liberty, Kentucky.  68 Grandchildren.  165 Great Grandchildren.  2 Brothers and 2 Sisters.

She was preceded in death by her husband Elmer A. Yoder, parents, 1 sister, and 4 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 31, 2022 at the Siloam Springs Amish Mennonite Church near Clayton, Illinois. 

Burial will follow in the Siloam Springs Amish Mennonite Cemetery. 

Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. and from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Monday at the Siloam Springs Amish Mennonite School.  

Memorials are suggested to the Blessing Foundation for Hospice.
