Glenna Eloise Olbert

Glenna Eloise Hodgson Olbert was born on January 11th 1926 to parents Christian and Bertha Hodgson in Timewell, Illinois. 

She went home to be with the Lord on December 11, 2021. She resided in Mesa, AZ with her daughter. 

Glenna, lovingly known as Eloise or Aunt Wezzie, not only enjoyed spending time with her family, but she cared for so many other children during her life, so many that she became known as “mother to all”. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Willie V. Olbert, her son Merlin Olbert, her daughter Lavonia Dee Brown, her brother John H. Hodgson, and her sister LaDeama J Mitchell. 

Survivors include her children, John C. Hodgson (Sherry), Billy E. Olbert, Betty L. Godwin (Doc) and Dale A. Olbert (Frances), several grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and her sister Myrtle H. Swanstrom. 

Cremation has been accorded and a memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m on Tuesday, January 11, 2022 in the Hendricker Funeral Home in Mt.Sterling with Pastor Matt Haberman officiating. 

The services will be live streamed on the Hendricker Funeral Home website at hendrickerfuneralhome.com.

Burial of the cremated remains will follow in the Mounds Cemetery near Timewell, Illinois.
