Jeff Gardner

Jeffrey Allen Gardner, age 62, of Mt.Sterling, Illinois and formerly of Mishawaka, Indiana passed away at 9:02 a.m. on Monday, February 22, 2021 at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri.

He was born September 22, 1958 in Moreland, Georgia the son of John and Diana Gardner.  He married Diane Rogers on December 22, 2000 in Springfield, Illinois and she survives. 

Mr. Gardner was a truck driver for Dot Foods in Mt. Sterling for over 17 years. 

Jeff served his country in the United States Marine Corps from 1976 until 1982.  

He was of the Baptist faith and always enjoyed collecting baseball cards, fishing and spending time with his family. 

Survivors include his wife Diane Gardner of Mt. Sterling, Illinois.  His mother Diana Gardner of Mishawaka, Indiana.  3 children Johnny Gardner of Cincinnati, Ohio, Ryan Gardner of Mishawaka, Indiana and Jessica Hartman of Mt. Sterling, Illinois.  3 sisters Jana Manaloti of Mishawaka, Indiana, Judy Koontz of Florida and Jennifer Wyatt of Mishawaka, Indiana also survive along with 6 grandchildren.  

He was preceded in death by his father and 1 daughter in infancy. 

Cremation will be accorded and there will be no services. 

Memorials are suggested to the Quincy Humane Society and may be left at or mailed to Hendricker Funeral Home, 406 South Capitol Avenue, Mt. Sterling, Illinois 62353.
