Justin Wisdom

Justin Michael Wisdom, age 36, of Mt.Sterling, Illinois passed away at 6:06 p.m. on Friday, August 4, 2023 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

He was born April 6, 1987 in Silvis, Illinois the son of David Brown and Jacqueline “Jackie” Simpson.  

Justin worked for Rees Construction in Quincy, Illinois for several years and earlier had worked for John Crank Construction.  

He attended Brown County High School and truly loved spending time outdoors whether it was hunting, fishing or riding 4 wheelers.  

Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Jackie and Kent Mitchell of Timewell.  2 sons Carson Wisdom and Easton Wisdom both of Mt. Sterling.  5 sisters Jessica Ruiz of Beardstown, Jennifer Wisdom of Mt. Sterling, Erica Mitchell of Quincy, Becky Brown-Aschemann of Rock Island and Molly Brown of Moline.  His companion Leann Walker of Mt. Sterling also survives along with several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. 

He was preceded in death by his father, David Brown. 

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, August 10, 2023 in the Hendricker Funeral Home in Mt. Sterling with Pastor Dale Gadberry officiating.  Those unable to attend are invited to watch the service live on his obituary page of the funeral home website, hendrickerfuneralhome.com. 

Burial will follow in the Becam Cemetery in Brown County. 

Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday evening at the funeral home.
