She was born to James Hurley and Adaline Grace (Hogan) Behrends April 29 1937, in the Behrends homestead farm house in Hersman, IL. She married David Richard Fry on March 15, 1958 at the Presbyterian Church in Quincy, IL. He preceded her in death, along with son Darrell Gene. Mary was a kind soul, her gentle words, optimism, and actions were inspirational to all she met. She was a sweet, cheerful grandma and was proud of all her grandkids. Generous with hugs, support and knowledge they always knew how special and loved each one was. She even tolerated her grand dogs.
