Paul Mueller

Paul J. Mueller died on Friday, July 28, 2023 at Mt. Sterling, Illinois.  He is survived by his daughter, and three sons, Joseph (Johanne), Jim (Michele), and John (Gayle), and their families, and beloved nieces, nephews and cousins. 

He was preceded in death by his wife, Ann, his parents, Nicholas and Rachel, his six brothers and four sisters, Arnold (Helen), Rosina (Henry), Esther (Michael), Agnes (Howard), Carl (Louise), Francis (Elsian), Raymond (Elva), Martha (Harry), William (Dianna), Reynold (Betty, then after he was widowed, Ramona), and cherished nieces, nephews, and cousins.  

A memorial mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 2, 2023 in the Holy Family Catholic Church in Mt. Sterling with Father Aaron Kuhn officiating. 

Burial of the cremated remains will follow in the Mt. Sterling Catholic Cemetery.  A military service will be conducted at the graveside by the Illinois National Guard Funeral Honors Detail. 

Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday evening at the Hendricker Funeral Home in Mt. Sterling.  

Memorials are suggested to Jazz Foundation of America, St. Mary's School, Mt. Sterling American Legion Post #374, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post # 10399, Great River Honor Flight or Brown County Public Library.
