Renee Baker Budds Obituary

 

Renee Lynn Baker Budds, age 52, of London, Kentucky and formerly of Versailles, Illinois passed away at 9:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 25, 2023 at her residence. 

She was born October 10, 1970 in Rushville, Illinois the daughter of Carson and Jacqueline Eilts Baker.  

Renee attended St. Mary's School and graduated from Brown County High School with the class of 1989.  She then attended Vatterott College in Quincy, Illinois. 

Most recently she worked for Longrider-Leather in London, Kentucky. 

Renee was of the catholic faith and was known as an adventurous person, who liked riding her motorcycle and collecting anything related to bees.  She also had a green thumb and enjoyed taking care of her many plants.  Renee truly loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.  

Survivors include 2 children Storm Baker (fiancee, Cody Surratt) of London, Kentucky and Carson Morrison (fiancee, Griffin Simone Stevens) of Mt. Sterling, Illinois.  3 grandchildren Noah, Aurora and Sylas Baker all of London, Kentucky.  Her father and stepmother Carson and Kim Baker of Versailles, Illinois, her mother and stepfather Jacqueline and Maurice Hester of Versailles, Illinois.  Paternal grandmother Ruby Baker of Versailles, Illinois.  Maternal grandmother Sally Eilts of Ursa, Illinois.  1 sister Rebecca Cooper (Jake) of Perry, Illinois. A very special friend, Nicolas. 1 step brother Chad Hester.  4 step sisters Amber Campbell, Jennifer Thomas, Crystal Cooley and Dellina Krebs also survive along with several nieces and nephews including Brandon Waugh, Kailynn Waugh and Henry Cooper.  

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather Roy Baker. 

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Monday, January 30, 2023 in the Hendricker Funeral Home in Mt. Sterling. 

Cremation will be accorded following the visitation and private services will be held at a later date.  

Memorials are suggested to the family to assist with the expenses.
