After graduation, Sharon enrolled in Blessing School of Nursing and earned her LPN degree in 1971. She began her nursing career that same year and retired in 2017 from Blessing Hospital after 45 ½ years of service.

Sterling, IL; Steve Still (Tammy), Mt. Sterling, IL; and Kim Still (Vic McClure), Jacksonville, IL. Several nephews and nieces also survive.

Sharon spent her life dedicated to her family, friends, and the hundreds of patients she cared for over the years. She enjoyed the outdoors and loved to spend time out on the family farm where she was raised. She was a life-long fan of Elvis and has quite the collection of his memorabilia. She loved to bake and she made the best chocolate chip cookies you ever tasted.

Sharon is preceded in death by her parents; her in-laws Pappy and Ruth Giles; a nephew Andrew Still, a sister, Debbie Still and a brother-in-law David Wort.
