Harold Wayne Howe, age 70, of Quincy, Illinois passed away at 2:40 p.m. Tuesday, December 13, 2022 at Blessing Hospital in Quincy, Illinois.
He was born September 3, 1952 in Quincy, Illinois the son of Ronald William and Juanita Smith Howe. He married Patricia Schulze and to this union 3 daughters were born, Dawn, Jill and Hope. He later married Susan Elbus Calvo on February 23, 1986 and she preceded him in death on July 19, 2016.
Mr. Howe worked as a car salesman for Hess Auto Agency in Quincy for several years and more recently was employed by Quincy Auto Supply.
He attended LaGrange, Missouri schools and graduated from Quincy High School.
Mr. Howe was of the Catholic Faith. He always enjoyed playing golf as a member of Cedar Crest Country Club in Quincy and especially loved watching his grandson race at Quincy raceways.
Survivors include 3 daughters Dawn Goellner (Mike) of Monroe City, MIssouri, Jill Havermale (Dan) of Quincy, Illinois and Hope Owens (Ryan) of Lewistown, Missouri. 4 step children Ann Smola (Mike), Teresa Moffitt, Jim Calvo (Suzie) and Kristy McCarter (Jeff). 6 grandchildren Spencer Havermale (Bree), Alexis Howe, Ashley Straube (Garrad), Ayden Barron, Ashton Barron and Jaxon Owens. 3 great grandchildren Josie, Annabelle and Briggs. His stepmother Nancy Howe of LaGrange, Missouri. 2 brothers Steven Howe of Arkansas and Darron Howe (Angie) of Springfield, Illinois also survive along with several step grandchildren, step brothers, step sister and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and 1 brother Dave Howe.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. (noon) on Monday, December 19, 2022 in the Hendricker Funeral Home in Mt. Sterling, Illinois with Rev. Matt Haberman officiating.
Burial will follow in the Mt. Sterling Catholic Cemetery.
Visitation will be one hour prior to services on Monday at the funeral home.
