Wilma Clinard

Wilma M. Clinard, age 96, of Quincy, Illinois and formerly of Mt. Sterling, Illinois passed away at 8:02 a.m. Saturday, August 26, 2023 at Cedarhurst of Quincy. 

She was born January 6, 1927 in Elba Arkansas.  Wilma married Roy Clinard on April 10, 1948 in Brown County, Illinois and he preceded her in death on February 3, 1993. 

Mrs. Clinard was a homemaker and a member of the Timewell Baptist Church.  Wilma was also a member of the Illinois A I Chapter of T.T.T.   She always enjoyed playing bridge, having belonged to several bridge clubs, and truly loved her flower gardens and traveling.  

Survivors include two sons Charles Clinard (Kathy) of Tulsa, Oklahoma and David Clinard (Dana) of Quincy, Illinois.  Two granddaughters, Rebecca O’Connor (Jason) of Leawood, Kansas and Betsy Hendershot (Bryan) of Tulsa, Oklahoma.  Four great grandchildren Addison, Annabelle, Reece and Knox also survive along with one brother Dorvil Branscum (Sheila) of Arenzville, Illinois.  

She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Viona Passmore, two brothers Noah Branscum and one in infancy, one step brother J. C. Branscum and two sisters Ruby Trammel and Gena Bullard.  

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 30, 2023 in the Hendricker Funeral Home in Mt. Sterling. 

Private burial will follow in the Hersman Cemetery. 

Visitation will be one hour prior to services on Wednesday at the funeral home. 

Memorials are suggested to the Timewell Baptist Church.
